Rock Star Ovaries

Our donor must have rock star ovaries.  Not that I think rock stars are necessarily exceptional ovulaters – that lifestyle with all those drugs and bat eating surely can’t be good.  (On the other hand I think just seeing David Bowie makes me ovulate.)  But what I mean is that we’ve actually gotten some good news.

My husband just got a call from the lab to let him know he can eat; his spermies are fine.  And they told him we have NINE eggs suitable for fertilisation!  NINE!!! For US!!  That’s not how many we have to share with the other recipient – WE GET NINE EGGS!!! Nine lovely 10-years-younger-than-me-from-someone-who-has-had-live-births eggs.

How can I be expected to not go insane before tomorrow’s fertilisation report?!?!?!

My husband’s going to phone them in an hour. I don’t know if they’ll be ready with an update then, but he’s going to try. He knew I might vomit if I phone. 😉 I’ll post as soon as I know!
