Brave Battle Lost

I just found out that the friend whose water broke at 25 weeks gave birth yesterday.  Her daughter lived for a few hours, but it was a brave battle she couldn’t win. I hate that even though I have been through the premature birth and death of a miracle bub that I don’t know how to help.  She had the best care, the best chances the hospital could give, and still it wasn’t enough.  She’ll have to leave the hospital empty, attend the funeral, all when instead she should be still pregnant and happy.  Her due date will come with only memories of her girl.  It is so unfair.

So, so sorry. Life is so heartbreaking at times & so deeply unfair. It still surprises me even two years out from our own loss how often I hear of pregnancy losses. Sending love to you & your friend ((hugs))

Oh I am so sorry to hear about her loss. You are right – there are simply no words, but we’ve been there before and know the pain all too well. My thoughts are with her as she tries to work through the next steps and plans for her own personal recovery.
